@SweetiePie: I can commiserate. My DD refused all other bottles and nipples except the latex ones for some reason. We ended up buying these Gerber ones, about as cheap as they come and they can go in the dishwasher!

Update: they work on dr browns without the venting system! We’ve done two feeds with this combo and it’s worked great, no leaks.

@SweetiePie: They work on Medela bottles! And I just put them in the dishwasher. They don’t last forever but we get maybe 10 used out of them. My lactation nurse said they are fine to re-use.

@gingerbebe: @mrsbubbletea: Yeah that’s what we’ve been doing! We had some left over from hospital and we’ve just been handwashing with hot water and soap. But we don’t have many and after a while they get kinda weird so I just orders like a 24 pack of the nipples and we’ll prob just use them hand washed a couple weeks at a time and then refresh.

@SweetiePie: dr brown only works with the whole venting set up. So you’d have to use the nipple with the dr brown ring and all thst other stuff. Don’t use dr brown unless you love it or baby needs it, I hate washing all those parts! Try those cheap ones @kiddosc: recommends. Or maybe you know someone with unneeded medela bottles?

@mrsbubbletea: and yes to buying them over and over. I don’t mind that and we’ll keep going back to standard nipples to see if anything changes. Right now feeding takes for.ev.er if we don’t use these nipples. But a level 2 is still too fast for him.
(But I also don’t worry about sterilizing things much past when they are itty bitty)

Medela ones work! Callsy loved the latex nipple on the Medela bottles!

Also, I think the super cheap Gerber bottles use a latex nipple too.

ETA: He eventually transitioned fine to the MAM bottles. He hated Dr. Browns, but that was the only one DS1 would use.

@SweetiePie: The cheapie Gerber first essentials bottles fit. They come with silicon nipples that are exactly that shape. They also have very similar latex nipples that are designed for multiple uses, but look to be shaped slightly different

@mrsbubbletea: we were trying them on dr brown but they seemed to leak. I thought maybe had something to do with all the parts. Actually I didn’t use the collar, I used the dr brown collar with the nipple. I’ll see if the enfamil collar screws on to dr brown now.

@Truth Bombs: the medela bottles would with a different ring!

@SweetiePie: they would fit in a dr brown bottle, and in a life factory bottle. They are like the standard nipple shape so nothing wider in the base (like the medela nipple/ring). But you can screw them on medela bottles and basically any of those containers you see from the hospital for pumping.

I don't have personal experience so take this with a grain of salt.... but I met Medela bottles would work. I babysat my Godson the other day and he takes ready to feed when he's away from mom and the ready to feed bottle seemed to be the exact same size of the Medela 2 ounce pumping bottle.

For whatever reason my 11 week old feeds best from the ready-to-feed bottles (like the ones you get from the hospital) that come with the latex-like nipples. We are 99% sure that it’s the actual nipple he likes since we’ve tried feeding powdered formula from the little bottles and he takes it no problem. It feels pretty wasteful to buy the ready to feeds for an entire year. So I’m wondering if there are any bottles that the nipples will work with? These are the nipples I’m talking about, for reference.
