I stopped bottle feeding at around 2.5 months because she stopped taking it. We introduced a straw sippy at 11 months.

we slowly transitioned her out of a bottle. at 12 months i cut her middle of day bottles (1 at 11am and another at 3pm).... so she was only getting it in the morning and at bedtime. then i cut the morning one, then finally i took away the night one at 14-months. so by 14-months she was completely done with bottles, but it didn't seem like she minded!

um charlie is still addicted to a bottle? perhaps our biggest parenting failure to date?

we introduced a sippy at 6 months. now the bottle is just a comfort thing for him. olive is definitely going to be drinking from a sippy/cup by 1 year. the transition probably won't be hard for her since she hates bottles anyway.

We introduced sippies at 6 months and fully took away the bottle at 13 months. We would have done it earlier, but in our state daycares are required to offer a bottle at least once a day until 1 year; we couldn't take DD off the bottle entirely until after her first birthday.

I'm dreading this. LO LOVES her bottle. Our plan is a year though. She already has her sippy cup, we started that at 7 months, but she's 9 months and still doesn't completely understand it yet.

We had to force it. We went to sippy cups during the day at about 10-11 months with a bottle only in morning and evening. Then at 13 months we took away the evening bottle and then at 14 months we just took away the morning bottle. We instead gave breakfast first thing in the morning so he didn't pitch a fit and was distracted. With food my son will take a sippy so it worked for us.

We stopped the bottle at 1 year, when we transitioned to cow's milk. Went straight to straw cups.

When did your LO stop drinking from a bottle? When did you start transitioning into a sippy cup, etc?
