I've had the best luck with Gap slim cut pants for my tall and slim girl.

@bhbee: I really don't like Justice much, but have come across some scooter skirts there that fit DD really well. She's 7 years old and super duper skinny/leggy. She typically wears a size 4 bottom in shorts, which, as you can imagine, end up being really short....but in Justice scooters she is able to weara 6 or 6 slim (when we're talking denim), which helps a LOT with the length being a bit more appropriate. We've also found some Children's Place scooters that work, but it's the fancier (printed/woven) ones with smocked waists that tend to work.

Cat & Jack shorts/skirts are HUGE, IMO...at 7 she is no where near being able to hold up most of their XS/4-5 items.

Lo2 is 5 but skinny and leggy and it is so hard to find clothes! Esp bc she freaks out if things aren't "long enough. "Old Navy has been most reliable, she's in size S now

@catgirl: I forgot about Kohl’s! Great idea.

ETA I’ve also found a lot of cute play dresses at Carter’s ... dresses are a much easier fit!

My DD is tall and skinny. Cat and jack did not fit her well this season, which is funny because 90% of her winter clothes came from them. Old navy was also a bust for us this year. This summer we had luck with jumping beans from kohls - we got all of her shorts and skorts from their. H&M was good for dresses.

My oldest is wearing 7-8 usually. She needs some basic warm weather bottoms like crop leggings and the skirts with built in shorts, but she’s leggy and small waisted. Cat and Jack skirts are way too short. Anything had good luck with old navy or recommend another brand? I have liked some primary stuff, may try them. Thanks!
