So personally, I liked having separate things. We had a 4 floor townhouse and I didn't want to be dragging baby gear all over the house. So we used a PnP as the bassinet plus we had a bouncy seat and a swing in the living room. Eventually the bouncy seat moved to the bathroom.

I found that he didn't like to be in any one place too long. I also found that certain devices contributed to a small flat spot. I wouldn't really want one device to do triple duty because he might've gotten sick of it or had much worse flat spot problems. But if you're not big on baby gear, or your house is more manageable than mine was, you might like having a multi functioning piece of gear.

Try to think through how you'll use the stuff. Do you want to drag one thing around? Or is it easier to have stations around the house? Will you babywear a lot and have less reliance on baby containers?

We use a rock n play next to our bed. We also have a swing. For a bouncer, the fisher price rainforest one is awesome. The lights and sounds are also entertaining for day.

I really like the halo basinette but I don't want to spend $200 on something we use less than 6 months

TinyLove's 3 in 1 Rocker Napper looks like it could replace the need for both a bouncer/ rocker AND bassinet. http://www.amazon.com/Tiny-Love-Rocker-Napper-Red/dp/B008VU3A1C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1430961694&sr=8-2&keywords=tiny+love+rocker What do you think?
