I am so happy to see this thread! Once we move (probably within the next year), we will be looking to set up a home gym, and I have always wondered about the TC machines. I want something that will kick my butt within 30 minutes and is stable/heavy enough not to feel cheap. We will set it up in a basement room with a TV.

Our basement (which is finished, and we have a tv). You could always watch tv on a kindle or something like that (which i do at the gym). I wouldn't put it in the family room because you'd have to barricade it from kids. It'd be an eyesore unless you don't use that room regularly. I'd put it in the garage and put a fan nearby and/or open up the doors when it's hot and just deal, basically. You do get used to the heat

I've always wondered if these were good. We're looking to get a treadmill or eliptical to put in our basement at some point but I really want one of these!

@autumnlove: @blackbird: where do you have yours placed in the house? We don't have space to put it in the family room unless we dismantle part of our sectional. Our garage is shaping up to be a work out room, but there's no A/C or TV. 30 minutes a day isn't very long, but I don't like exercising to begin with.

My dad actually has an older model and loves it!

If you'll use it, it's worth it! But you can buy a good elliptical at Sears, on sale, for a lot less than 3K, though. I think ours was $800 on Black Friday.

Has anyone used the new Bowflex TreadClimbers: TC5, TC 10 or TC20?

The TC machines are treadmill, elliptical, and stair climbers all in one. This may be a good cardio machine for both me and Mr. Lime. This would be my first at home exercise machine purchase.

Is a Bowflex product worth it? The price ranges from $1, 000 to $3, 200.
