DS doesn't have eczema, but I have used nappy rash cream on his penis a few times when it has looked a little red. I don't moisturise any of that area, but it may be different with eczema - I'd ask your doc :happy:

@Mamasig: Same.

We've used diaper rash cream or aquaphor (or even just vaseline) on his penis when it's red.

@shopaholic: I don't moisturizer that area, but I have put aquaphor for redness.

Um, you do need to receive some guidance from your doctor or husband. How old is your little boy? After two little boys, I've learned a lot about circumcision care, testicles dropping, etc. Stuff I would have never known if it wasn't for my pediatrician or DH.

OK, so the consensus seems to be red = use diaper cream? I actually was starting to use some of the cerave cream as part of his after-bath moisturizing to prevent redness/dryness but I guess that's not normal? lol
* Our new ped sucks FWIW, never told me anything about caring for down there. Thank goodness for HB!

Pedi told us if we see red to use diaper cream. We've done it the past couple nights and it's gone now

My boys haven't had eczema down there. But if it looks red, I'll either put aquaphor or diaper rash cream on it.

Hmm. I never have. But he's never had an eczema spot on his bits, just his bum and i use regular lotion/cream on his bum (the cheek part).

If your DS has eczema, do you moisturize with lotions or use diaper rash cream on his boy bits? I noticed the skin on his boy bits seemed dry and a little bump on one spot so I started putting diaper rash cream on it and all over. The bumpy spot went away but diaper rash cream looks gross down there the next day! lol! So now I'm just trying his regular cream and things look better. Just wondering also if it's normal to moisturize boy bits?
