Not the cutest but I love the Gerber sleep and plays that come in a three pack at Target. I also got some items from Burlington or TJMaxx because I'm too cheap to spend much on little baby clothes. Also consignment shops if you don't mind secondhand. I found some really cute stuff at baby depot (it's in Burlington coat factory... they have some name brand stuff like CK and Polo on the cheap!) Other than that yup... Our local Gymboree has a horrible selection until 6-12m and up :-( My baby needs clothes for the first year since all of the hand me downs we have are 24m and up.
