@winniebee: I LOVE intimacy!!! They are super pricey though. And even after they measured me, I ended up a band size smaller. I think I'm kind of doughy around the band area so I measure a size bigger, but when I try on that band size it rides up my back.

Here's a general guide to what I learned though:
- the band should have contact with your skin all the way around, including the front between the breasts
- the back of the band should comfortably rest in the MIDDLE of your back, several inches below where your shoulderblades end
- the straps should not create indents in the tops of your shoulders and should not slip off

I would suggest going straight to nursing bras so you don't waste money!!

Good luck!!

@Winniebee Intimacy is awesome, I highly recommend them!
Problem is, they're not always super easy to find.
@Beyond2 Is there a Nordstroms near you? They're my favorite department store for bras and proper fittings.

Any department store should be able to do it...Macys, Nordstroms, Bloomingdales, etc.

How far along are you? You might consider to switching to to nursing bras at this point....so comfy! There's also a store called Intimacy that does great fittings, supposedly.

I never got a fitting. I just went to Macys and tried a few maternity bras on. I would definitely get something asap!

I went to Destination Maternity to have myself fitted. I don't think they did a good job and ended up picking a bra size that felt right.

I'm in desperate need of a bra fitting. I wore a 34B pre pregnancy and am up to a 36D now but my bras are leaving full imprints on my chest by the evening. I have no idea what size I should be wearing. Do you know of any general chain stores that do fittings? I'm not sure where to go and we don't have any specialty stores near here. Thanks!
