About 6 months for me. Until then I just needed a ton of bras to change into, and just bought whatever I could find that was comfy and cheap. I only wore Bravado nursing bras for at least the first 3 months. I bought a medium and it was fine. It stretches well without ever being too tight. Cheap(er), S/M/L sized, and they held my belly in a little. I've done the tank/bra combo, too, and it works well. Sometime the 36D is a little small when my boobs are full. If I'm engorged, it's absolutely ridiculous. </p> <p>I made the mistake of buying nursing bras right after I'd pumped. They're pretty tight in between nursing/pump sessions. I'm wondering if that would mean I'm in for bigger changes than someone whose size stayed more the same throughout their pregnancy, or if I already made the changes that are going to happen...</p> <p>I'm not planning on buying nursing bras and stuff until after, but I'd like to have at least a solid nursing tank and maybe one stretchy nursing bra to start off with when the baby is born. </p>
