@ Mediagirl, no, but I had to get two IV drips, which means I must have been really dry. I'm trying to drink at least 8 or more cups of water a day :)

Phew, so glad you're not going into pre-term labor. Did you doctor tell you how much water you should be drinking a day to avoid dehydration? (that's something I need to ask mine next visit)

I actually had to go to the hospital because my stomach just stayed tight all day long. I was indeed having contractions, which the doctor on duty thinks may have been caused by dehydration. Thankfully, I am not going into preterm labor, but my stomach still is tight.

I lots of braxton hicks contractions in my 3rd trimester. Sometimes I thought they were contractions and I used to time them. :T I don't think I ever had tightness for an hour.. I would call your OB if it happens again!

I've had A LOT of Braxton Hicks since early in my 2nd trimester (like 6 or 7 every hour). My doctor is not too concerned about it because there's never any pressure or pain with them. If you have pressure with it, you should definitely call the doctor and see what's going on (even though they'll probably just tell you to drink some water and lay down... ha!)

Thanks, Mrs. Bells. I'm 31 weeks. I think if I keep feeling the pressure, I'll give them a call this afternoon.

Hi HB Family,

I'm in my third trimester and last night I had a really weird Braxton Hicks moment.

My stomach for over an hour was just really tight and I began to feel some pressure in my lower area. I've had Braxton Hicks before but it usually lasted like 5-10 minutes, and I never really felt any pain down there.

Is this normal? I was worried I was going into labor, but I didn't feel any contractions just a lot of the same type of pressure on my stomach and vaginal area.

Typical Braxton Hicks?!
