I am having the same right now that started at around 18 weeks. I'm 20 weeks now and still see it. I didn't start this early with my first son, so I was a little worried that they were starting early. Glad to hear there are other stories of women having them and going to full term!

Mine started around 18 weeks last time and around 10 weeks this time. What you're describing does sound like BH's. But as pp's said, you should still just mention it to your provider so they're aware.

I think just keep an eye on them and it doesn't hurt to mention to your OB. I had what I thought were BH contractions starting about 1.5 weeks ago (I'm 24w now). Had a routine OB appt so she did an ultrasound of my cervix, which is now shortening and funneling and I'm on bedrest. Not to say that will happen to most people - but I think especially early it doesn't hurt to mention to the OB just to double check!

Mine started at 17w with DS1 (and I had a scheduled c-sec, which we made it to the date with no probs)

This time, I'm almost 28w and I haven't had too many....if I do get them, it's usually when I've overexerted myself or right before bed as well. I think it's pretty normal, as long as they're not coming regularly/timed.

I started getting them at 20 weeks with my first pregnancy and 14 weeks with my second. Sounds just like you are describing - especially the little ball. My first stayed in until 39 weeks 4 days and I'm 38 weeks pregnant with the second now, so they obviously had no impact on me! Definitely stay as hydrated as possible and I would mention it next time you have an appointment, but my doctor says some people just contract a lot.

Mine started around 19 weeks with my DS. It freaked me out but it was no big deal. I went to 40 weeks plus 3 days so obviously it had no affect on how long he stayed in.

Good morning ladies!

Since about 18 wks I've had what I think is Braxton Hicks. Off and on tightening but only at certain times of the day, mostly at the end of work or before bed. I'm 21 weeks now and yesterday it happened on the way home from work in the car. I drink a ton of water and still work out in the morning so I just wanted to make sure this is normal? There is no pain with it at all, it's just uncomfortable sometimes. I usually rub or pat it and it goes away. When did you ladies start having this?
Also sometimes it looks like a little ball on the right or left side, I thought it might be the baby but it's tight.

Hope everyone has a great day!
