I've totally wondered this as well. I know for sure that when my whole belly has gotten hard, seriously, like a rock, that is a braxton hicks, but then other times it doesn't seem the same and I wonder if it's just baby stretching and trying to make me uncomfortable!

@Alivoo01: I actually went to the doctor yesterday about this. I thought I was having BH for hours at a time and she actually thinks I was feeling the baby's back/butt and he'she was just stretching out. I was worried because I thought if it was a BH it was lasting way too long! While I was being monitored I had two but they lasted only a few seconds.

@Alivoo01: I've been wondering the same thing. I don't *think* I've felt any B-H yet...but I definitely get hard spots. Right now, LO is curled up in my lungs, so my entire upper abdomen is hard from her pushing on it (and my lower abdomen is like a flappy empty sack.. sooo hawt lol). I get the hard spots for a few secs too though, so who knows??

I wonder this as well! There are times when part of my belly feels hard and I wonder if it's just a BH or the baby stretching. Sometimes he gets all cuddled on my right side under my belly button and there is a huge hard lump there but everywhere else feels pretty normal.

I always wonder this too! I will get a big hard spot on my belly, but its not the whole thing. I always wonder if its BH or BB (baby butt :) )

All the posts I've read on HB about Braxton Hicks contractions is that their ENTIRE belly seem to harden when this occurs. I've been experiencing hardening in just one spot of my belly for just a few seconds at a time, the rest of my belly seems soft. The "one spot" changes so it's not always say the top left side. Is this also considered a Braxton Hicks contraction or is this just DS r-e-a-l-l-y stretching out? I can't tell!
