Mine was soooo wacky after being on the low progesterone pill and then moving to the regular one! I did ask my OB/GYN about it and she said that it is normal until you get through three cycles of a new pill. And, about the third cycle of the pill it returned what I remember being pretty normal. I'm almost 10 months postpartum and this next period I expect to be completely normal. Hope that helps!

@bree72: I had been on the pill for like 10 years prior to getting pregnant, so have noooo memory of this ever happening. Ugh.

Not postpartum, but I would go through spurts of breakthrough bleeding on Yaz since it's a lower dose pill. Most doctors will tell you that it will take 3-6 cycles to get evened out on a new bc.

Has anyone else experienced break through bleeding while on the pill post partum? I started hormonal BC about 2.5 months ago and everything has seemed normal. This month, however, I have another 1.5 weeks left of active pills and basically started my period. I'm going to call my OB, but curious if anyone else experienced this?
