It's weird because I have been off BC for almost two years... and the spotting was still a few days ahead of O. Since it stopped on it's own quite quickly I'm not really concerned any more. If it happens again next cycle I will probably call my OB to see if she is concerned at all.

MamaMoose, this happened to me around ovulation my first TTC cycle (this was right after stopping BC). I had positive readings from me OPK too so I knew I was ovulating. It didn't happen again Cycle 2. I wonder if coming off BC had something to do with it? I remember freaking out too but read online that some women spot during O.

@MaisyMay: It stopped the next day : ) Honestly I think it was just because we were having more sex than usual.

Some women bleed a little at ovulation, but it sounds like the OPK's haven't confirmed that you've ovulated. Maybe it was old blood? I have no idea, but would call/email your doctor if it happens again.

Has anyone else experienced this? We are currently TTC. I'm usually on a 28 cycle but have been pretty stressed at work and have been 31 days the last few cycles. According to my 31 day cycle I should ovulate this coming Friday... If I was back to 28 days I would ovulate this coming Tuesday. OPKS were negative all this week. This morning when I woke up there was blood on the toilet paper when I wiped after peeing. This happened a couple times and then there was a fair amount of blood when we BD'd around lunch time. It's now completely stopped. Break through bleeding is highly unusual for me and this can't be implantation bleeding since I haven't ovulated. Any ideas what might be going on? It's freaking me out a little.
