We always used miracle blankets and the halo swaddle. Much harder to break out of and my LO still loves being swaddled.

LO was breaking out of A+A swaddled by 2 weeks. We switched to a Miracle Blanket which was a gem until she started breaking out of it at 4 months. If swaddling helps her sleep at night, I would definitely check out a MB or Woombie.

Em is 10 weeks old. Every night before bed, I change her diaper, swaddle her in an A+A blanket with her hands up and in the triangle, arms near her head and hands near her mouth to sooth. Bottle, burp, rock upright and bed. Usually we stay in the swaddle until the middle of the night. The she cries, I get up, change her, swaddle her then feed her.

Sometimes she breaks out of the first night's swaddle. Nearly always she breaks her left arm out if the mid night swaddle. I want to get her out of the swaddle soon anyways since this is a hassle. Should I take this as a sign that she's ready? I don't want her startling herself awake. Big brother never slept swaddled so this is a new experience.

ETA: Normally naps during the day without any swaddling but in the swing.

Thoughts?
