Some breast pain can be normal. You just want to watch for signs of infection or if you start not to feel well. Thrush would be more of a burning sensation, and some mamas get it and never pass it to their babies, and vice versa.

If you get a fever, even a low grade one, I would call your OB; that could definitely be mastitis.

I just had Mastitis, and I never had a red rash. Just a sore breast and the feeling that I wanted to pass out and vomit simultaneously as I tried to feed my daughter. You could try dangle pumping/feeding and see if it helps.

This is probably not a huge help but I definitely felt like that, never got it checked out, and it just went away! I worried it was something too. I think I may have actually mentioned it, wondering about thrush, to my midwife and she just kinda brushed it off!

Both my boobs hurt :( I don't think I've had a plugged duct but I'm starting to wonder if something is going on. My breasts are hot and I have shooting pains sometimes. I looked up mastitis and it seems to come with a red rash which I don't have. I checked LOs mouth and it doesn't look white so I don't think it is thrush. I am tired and achey but aren't all new moms?

Thoughts?
