Nothing worked for me. Both girls bit when teething. Both of them outgrew it after a while (knock wood, Wonder baby hasn't bitten me in about a month and has popped three teeth in that time)

Keep at it... I did the same thing as you... It took a few weeks, but she learned not to bite.

@mrsjazz: Yes, I can tell when she is done and is starting to "nibble". Luckily I have only gotten bit bad once. Other than that just little pinches.

Willa has two teeth and has yet to chomp. I am interested to see when (if) she starts.

@jackieomy: My baby laughs when I say "No" or "No biting mommy!"

I always make sure she's latched on properly and I pay attention to her cues for when she is done. I didn't pay attention recently and ended up with a bloody nipple!

My son doesn't have teeth yet, but he has a strong latch and has been doing a vigorous dismount. He laughs when I do the stern "no," so the lactation consultant also suggests avoiding eye contact for a minute or so and ending the nursing session. I'm not looking forward to teeth!

Mine rarely actually bites me, and never terribly. Some babies just do, and I think a good NO! can help.

One thing I was always afraid of was what would happen when my baby got teeth and I was breastfeeding, would he just chomp away and I'd have no more nipple?

Luckily, Mavrick weaned himself before teeth so it wasnt an issue, but now I find myself still EBF Sienna, and well in the past two weeks - two new teeth.

She's nibbled on my nipple and I say an authorative "NO!" and she gets surprised and latches off, but any tips on how to avoid my nipples being bitten off.
