I typically offer one but she's in a growth spurt right now and has been taking both lately. My left definitely is the producer of the 2 but I still try to keep it even to "encourage" the right to keep going.

most of the time i give one side, except at bedtime i usually give both. and if olive is being fussy, i give her both.

i used to have a problem with strong let-down and olive choking in the first couple months, but now that my supply has settled, that never happens anymore.

my right side tends to get engorged more than my left, even if i last fed on my right side. if that happens, i feed on the more engorged side. i try to pump if i can, but if not... oh well.

I only do one side at a time. I did that from the beginning just so I could give my nipples a 4-6 hour rest between feedings, instead of just 2-3 hours.

I tend to try to give both during each feeding. When she was little it never worked, she'd always fall asleep so one breast would be left full. When that happened, I pumped that breast so the production wouldn't be effected.

@pastemoo: im too lazy to pump, unless it's the middle of the night and Sienna is still sleeping (happened the last 2 nights)

Usually one at a time, but maybe 1-2x/day is both sides.
Sometimes I forget which side... and if one side is super engorged, I pump a little to relieve the pressure.

Thanks ladies. I keep doing 1 breast at a time, because otherwise she spits up too much or simply chokes because she drinks too much and I have too much let down.

Up until this week I was blockfeeding so I offered the same breast for 2-3 feedings.

Now I switch off.... IF DD emptied one side but then ate for a minute off the other I start with the one she finished with the feeding before.

My son nearly always eats from both sides at every feeding so I don't really keep track.

I only offer one boob per feeding. But if for some reason that same boob feels engorged I'll offer that again for the next feeding, although that rarely happens.

I've been alternating breast for feedings but sometimes I can give her the other after I burp her because I know I'll be engorged.

How do you breastfeed? Also say its time to feed her from my right but my left is getting engorged or on its way to being... Do you offer the left or right? I know if I don't offer the right one eventually my production will slow down but Dang it would feel great to feed her the left.
