Dairy protein is in so much. We went to cooking and eating whole foods (meat, veggies and fruit) and cutting out most if not all processed foods. Butterball turkeys have dairy in them. Most turkey lunch meats have sodium lactolase (dairy). We absolutely avoid anything that has cheese, milk, casein or whey. We also avoid all soy protein so soy flour, soy protien, soy lecithin.

I remember your other post so thought I would mention there's a difference between lactose intolerance, dairy intolerance, and dairy allergy. Also, if your baby has a dairy intolerance there is a chance s/he has a soy intolerance too (MSPI).

When we thought my son had a dairy intolerance I cut out all major dairy (milk, yogurt, cheese, ice cream, butter, cream....) and I avoided things like chcoloate or items that I knew would have butter or milk IN them. I did not eat dairy free bread though. Ultimately my diet wasn't enough and he still had some bloody stool so I switched him to Nutramigen formula at 4.5 months.

Cutting dairy is hard....good luck!

I'm thinking A might have the family milk intolerance - poor thing! Her diapers have been green and mucousy and I tried block feeding in case it was a hindmilk/foremilk inbalance, but it hasn't made a difference.

To cut out dairy, what did you stop eating?

I won't be substituting with soy, my plan is to go on to almond milk.

Thanks loads : )
