My midwife told me to stick it out and it gets better and I really want to believe it. My supply has taken a hit but she's nursing more frequently and has plenty of wet diapers and is eating 2-3 solid meals a day, so she seems to be ok. I do have a freezer stash in case we need to add in some bottles. Praying that the next few weeks go by quickly. It wasn't excruciating or anything but hurt when he first latched on. It's much better now at 13 weeks. I almost weaned those first few weeks because I was just dreading every feeding but glad I stuck it out. I remember wincing and wanting to yell every single time DS would nurse when I was in the first trimester. Not fun but it will definitely get better. It's getting uncomfortable again (almost 28 weeks) but I don't know if it's because he's teething really bad right now or if it's the pregnancy. Just keep an eye out on your supply if she is not getting formula or other form of milk. My girl is 9 months and I'm 7.5w It is SO painful to nurse and I'd like to get her to a year. She hates the bottle and doesn't like milk in a sippy. I never experienced pain issues when she was a newborn so this is new to me. I'm almost in tears every time she nurses cause of the pain :sad: </p>
