But it's always gone back to normal once the tooth is all the way through. Normally her latch is all screwed up until the tooth has fully broken through the gums. That only lasted about a week. She seemed to somehow rub her bottom gum on my nipple (ouch) while the teeth were cutting and she had trouble maintaining suction which resulted in her "clamping down" and making the clicking noise. For us once the tooth fully emerged it seemed to feel back to normal. We did have a few biting/ tensing her jaw down incidents but again everything seemed to resolve itself on its own. They just had to completely relearn their latch.
