I just dealt with bad latch, occasionally switched sides or changed positions but biting, I tried to end the nursing session at least for a few minutes.

I also used a little cool lanolin if things were really sore.

For me it's just 2-3 days of a irritated nipple and then its back to normal. My nipple is always my sure-tell sign that my LO cut another tooth. We're nearly done with teething now at 12m because there's no more teeth missing except for the 2y molars. If it got really bad I'd use a gel pad for a day or two (like these http://www.medelabreastfeedingus.com/products/412/tender-care-hydrogel-pads).

i found that my DD changed her latch as different teeth came in (got her first at 7.5 months, and has 13 at 15 months!) so i could tell when she was cutting something new. thankfully, she adjusted quickly.

@Sapphiresun: my LO had almost all of her teeth by 12 months and we nursed til 14 months with no teeth issues so no real advice to offer except maybe try a different nursing position. Maybe it will move her latch around so that little fang isn't in an awkward position. I always did football hold on the Boppy

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but my search terms are bringing up all sorts of unrelated posts that I don't have time to go through. So...

My 8 month old now has 3 teeth, and 4 more on the way. Randomly she's getting her top lateral incisor first, so this weird little fang is killing my nipples. She's not actively biting, it's just in the way.

How do you guys make it more comfortable to nurse once teeth start coming in?
