I had (and still have) a low supply that I think was mainly due to latching issues early on. I noticed a little difference with the fenugreek but not a huge one. I already eat copious quantities of oatmeal every day for breakfast, so I couldn’t really say if that did anything or not. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve drank a lot of mothers milk tea in my day, and I don’t think it had much of an impact on my supply. If anything I think it just forced me to drink more water and that probably helped a bit. I made lactation cookies too, but didn’t notice an impact.

I think mostly people produce more by eating these food items, because they’re eating more food! And drinking water. Those would be the first boosters and main ones in my mind before considering supplements and adding things like brewers yeast to cookies. If you felt like it is just make some oatmeal cookies, drink lots of water, and drink some mothers milk tea daily or every once in a while and call it a day. That way you don’t have to worry about adding in anything weird to your body or diet and causing potential oversupply.

ETA: mothers milk tea upsets my stomach and gives me gas.

My lactation consultant recommended against fenugreek pills, as she said it can really upset some babies' tummies. She said mothers milk tea was not harmful but also not very helpful. At her recommendation, I took moringa, and it did help some. I tried oatmeal with brewer's yeast, but didn't like the taste and didn't notice a difference so I stopped. If you have enough supply, I wouldn't worry about it. Oversupply can cause all sorts of issues as well.

I had barely enough supply to cover my son's intake. I did lactation cookies (oatmeal & brewers yeast) and mother's milk tea. They helped some, but I NEVER had a freezer stash, and had to supplement formula at daycare on occasion.

If you're making enough with some to spare, I personally wouldn't recommend any supplements. I think they might end up stressing you out unnecessarily. That said, I tried fenugreek and mother's milk tea when I wasn't producing enough. It might have helped, but any effect was trivial and I smelled like maple syrup all the time :-/

I never really used them either but I also had good milk supply. I did try fenugreek and mother's milk tea when my supply started dipping around 10-11 months but I didn't notice a major difference in pump output.

I currently pump exclusively and have what I think is a good supply. I pump more than my almost 4 month old needs so I have a good amount in the freezer. I keep seeing all these reviews for teas, cookies ' brownies etc that really boost supply. I see bottles full of milk in these reviews and I wonder if I am missing out on pumping even more.
I have never taken anyting to boost supply because I always wonder if there are long term side effects associated with any of these herbs and supplements.
