@purrpletulips: Nope. I wish they would, but they won't!

I'm glad to hear that many of your babies are getting 15-16 oz. I am trying to send 18oz and they are always making me feel bad about it, saying it's not enough. Sometimes they send home full bottles though (she's fed on demand)... so I don't get it. Maybe she just had some hungry days, or they think she's hungry and she's really not. I have ZERO milk in reserve, and I am working my ass off to send what I am, so they're going to have to deal. She's gaining fine so I think she's ok.

I think next week I will ask them to feed her on a schedule and will do 3 x 5-6 oz bottles.

DS is 8 months and gets 3 bottles at the sitter; two are 3-3.5 oz and one is 5 oz. He gets solids after the smaller bottles.

@78H2O: will your daycare keep frozen BM? the daycare that we used with DD would keep a few bags of frozen BM for times when she needed a top off.

@mediagirl: I think I am going to try this again. I did it for a week or two and they said it wasn't enough... so I switched to 4 x 4oz bottles.

@Katrocap: My LO is 5.5 mo. Today I sent her with 4 x 4 oz bottle + 2 x 1oz bottles to top her off if she's still hungry after a feeding. I think I'm going to try to go back to 3 x 5 oz though, or maybe even 3 x 6 oz. Kellymom.com says they need 1-1.5oz for each hour they are away from you. I send a little bit more than that though because daycare thought she was still hungry.

My son had 3 6-oz bottles at daycare at 7 months since we still weren't adding in too many solids. He gradually reduced to 3 4-oz bottles after we started sending and he actually started eating more solids around 9 months. At 11 mo, he's wavering bet 3-4 oz bottles 3 times a day.

My LO is 7 months and he gets 3 bottles while I'm at work - they are between 6 and 7 oz each (I think my nanny decides based on how much I have in the fridge from the previous day's pumping). He has the bottles at 11, 2 and 5.

My LO is six months now and gets 3 five ounce bottles each day at daycare. We are just now starting solids with her so I don't expect her milk intake to increase in the future, we will just add more and more solids as she grows.

AT 7 months, she was getting 5oz of milk in 3 bottles. She had her bottles at 9, 12 and 3. She started solids at 8 months at daycare and had those after her 12pm bottle.

How many ounces/bottles of breastmilk do you send to daycare for your LO for one day? My DS will be 7 months when he starts daycare and I'm trying to figure out how much to pump/freeze/etc. Thanks!
