The way it is now looks pretty dangerous, and she won't be moving enough to need a bumper for a while. At that point you will prob want to lower the crib anyway, but why make things more difficult (lower crib with short arms) before you need to? </p> <p>That said, I agree you really may not need it at all. I did not get one but would have investigated a breathable bumper if we needed one, but it literally didn't come up once. Why do you feel you need a bumper? We skipped them, Dd moves tons and has only needed rescued twice for a stuck leg. She's bashed her head a few times falling over and lived to tell the tale.
