thanks everyone! just what i needed to hear. my dr's office always says "we'll only call if there is a result we need to discuss" so when I saw her number on my phone today I freaked out! hopefully the next time we take a look everything will be where it should be. :)

I have no clue what the odds were, but at my 20 weeks I was in your same shoes (though I wasn't put on pelvic rest). I think I had a follow up scan 6 weeks later and my placenta had moved, and so had baby. Don't stress!

I'm almost 20 weeks and the baby was breech during the scan. She flipped right at the end. It'll happen a lot for a couple more months, they said

@charlotte: I had the same thing at 19 weeks but by 22 weeks it had resolved itself. I think this is fairly common and nothing to worry about at this point

You definately have plenty of time for both of those to resolve. The placenta is a little more concerning because there really isn't any intervention to fix it besides monitor and then C section. But it definately still has time to move up.

At this point your baby is probaly still flipping multiple times a day. DD was breech until around 32 weeks and flipped on her own. Baby #3 was trasnverse until last week (32 weeks), and they were head down at my appointment, I think I have felt a flip or two though since then. My MD wasn't going to worry about positionin until 36 weeks he said.

I had a low lying placenta at 20 weeks and it moved by 28 weeks. My doctor told me it's pretty uncommon for it to not move. I also never had any spotting associated with it.

My LO was head down from 20 weeks on so I have no advice about breech babies.

hi everyone. my doctor just called to say my anatomy scan showed my placenta is too low right now. I'm going to have to get a followup in a few weeks. she did not mention to what degree it is right now but wants me on pelvic rest. i haven't had any spotting so far...

also, the peri mentioned at the ultrasound that the baby is breech but not to worry because he can definitely turn before delivery.

what are the chances of the baby's position AND the placenta position resolving themselves in the next few months? i've been googling and obviously freaking myself out a bit. thanks!
