@spaniellove: I ate as much protein as possible. My snacks were usually protein. I also had a one or two huge smoothies filled with tons of kale and spinach. I also drank no less than a gallon of water a day. I'm 21 wks now and have been eating really badly the last few weeks but getting back on track tomorrow. I can try to look for the sheet given to me last time with the amount of protein I was supposed to eat...but it was seriously a crazy number, lol. Keeping a food log helps a ton!

@emg86: Did you do basically as much protein/salt as you could eat or every hour or all the categories? I'm hoping I can get some improvement without worrying too much about hitting all the categories or eating constantly.

Yes it does. Makes a huge difference! I can tell when I haven't been eating enough protein, I look SO much bigger than when I'm sticking to a diet similar to Brewer's diet. The midwives at the birth center I go to tell mamas to follow a very similar plan.

Haven't tried it but my swelling has been bad for the past week or so and I'm only 25 weeks tomorrow. I can't fit in most of my shoes (anything besides flip flops) .

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Brewer Diet for insane pregnancy swelling? Does it work? Because I've tried everything else and it's not pre-e.
