@Foodnerd81: I also tried this one but it didn’t work with my belly at the time. Could do a regular bra with it, she might just have to get the neckline tacked. Tiny Dancer is the color we used for the wedding.
https://m.shopbop.com/newbury-cap-sleeve-wrap-dress/vp/v=1/1566638721.htm?folderID=11888&fm=other-shopbysize&os=false&colorId=50802

And yeah, agreed with online shopping! I ordered like 5 dresses from shopbop, tried them on and returned what didn’t work. Done and done. Ain’t nobody got time for that in a real store :silly:

@SweetiePie: very pretty! But no she definitely wants to wear a regular bra and prefers things with a fitted waist so her big boobs don’t make her just look big all over. I’ll look at that site.

Annoyingly she doesn’t like online shopping. Fool. It’s the best.

I wore this when I was pregnant with my first (about 20 weeks along) and I am a solid 34G when pregnant. It’s not a maternity dress, but it was flowy so it worked. Also a May wedding! For my best friend. I only wore it for the wedding for a few hours and had it cleaned right away. PM me if any of you wants to buy it!
This is the dress I have BUT it’s in the softest petal/ballet pink. Really pretty!
https://m.shopbop.com/tatum-long-strapless-gown-joanna/vp/v=1/1550747648.htm

And you can also check out all of Joanna August on shopbop. They all seem to be on major sale right now.

@Foodnerd81: I'm not sure if anyone used the custom sizing. The quality was good. She had a very similar color scheme (dusty rose, blush, and nude) and the dresses looked great.

@Alba4: I feel like we might be cutting it close to order a traditional bridesmaid dress. But I can point her towards those brands. She’s will to pay up a bit to feel good in a dress! Both my daughters are flower girls so I’m hoping for more ASOS prices than Monique lhullier!

Have you looked at Azazie? The bridesmaids' dresses at my sister's wedding were from there. They have tons of colors/styles and are reasonably priced ($120 ish). You can order a custom size by just entering your measurements.

My SIL is getting married in Aug and has the same color scheme. We are ordering our dresses from Bella Bridesmaids and are focusing on designs from Monique Lhullier, Hayley Paige, Watters, and Amsale. There are definitely styles from Monique Lhullier that accommodate bustier girls and regular bras.

@Foodnerd81: I’m sort of useless with brands because I only had one bride not pick a dress, and that was a cocktail length black dress. And I basically never buy clothes now, so 😬

Have you ever seen those wrap dresses that are just one big piece of fabric with a million ways to wear it? I think it sounds scary myself (and a lot like a toga...) especially since I am uncoordinated and could not pull off a baby wearing. However, I think they come in a ton of colors and I've heard brides (not the bridesmaids...ha!) rave about them. I have no idea on brands, but had to put the thought out there. Have fun!

@AB810: Great to know! I'm waiting on a few strapless bras from Nordstrom to decide if I am comfortable wearing one before I order some dresses- not strapless but some would show a strap.

@MrsBucky: Yeah- I went wedding dress shopping with her and she did find a strapless bra/ long line thing that technically *fit* but it was NOT something she'd want to wear all night! Any brands that tend to fit you well? She is starting a new job and I'm trying to help take some pressure off but helping her search.

I was a similar build to your sister for all the weddings I was a bridesmaid in. (8/10 32-34 G/H) and have a strong preference for wearing a real bra always. My recommendation would be to find a dress with straps she likes (tough but not impossible) and plan on buying to fit her bust and tailoring the rest down. It’s a pain but the best bet if she wants to be comfortable.

Anyone feel like doing some online shopping for me?

My sister has decided to get married- this May! This is totally true to form for her and very exciting. She wants my sisters and I to wear long flowy dresses in shades of blush, nude, soft dusty rose and dusty lilac or gray. I'm attaching an inspiration pic. It will be in a garden restaurant, not super formal. She loves the style of the BHLDN dresses (https://www.bhldn.com/bridal-party-bridesmaid-dresses-blush/?cm_sp=BANNER-_-20180123_maids_color_blush-_-maids_blush_cat)

I like those and found a bunch on ASOS that might work too. The problem is one sister has a hard time finding dresses that fit because she is slim- about size 8, but has large breast- like 34G.

Has anyone come across long, flowy, soft colored dresses that work well on a busty hourglass figure and can accommodate a real bra?

And, any other suggestions for places to look? Experiences ordering and returning extras from ASOS?
