I've just done a day of short domestic flights with my three month old and I say a definite yes to taking even a small stroller.

I flew on my own and had to check my Snap N Go and capsule as luggage which meant I had to hold LO all the time which was a bit of a pain. A stroller will allow you to put LO down if you need to go to the bathroom!

I'd consider looking for an inflatable pillow so that you could collapse it when LO didn't need it. Maybe something like 2 of these?

@ksnow: well you can request the bulkhead seat and your baby can sleep in the bassinet. olive was too long for it so i couldn't live without the boppy. she slept 8 hours straight from japan to california!

the travel boppy is smaller than the regular boppy and zips up. might be worth it for an international trip even with the bassinet because baby will probably sleep better in your arms if she gets fussy.

I'm flying internationally as well, from Japan to the US, so long flights! I will look into a travel boppy, hadn't heard of one of those. I just can't imagine how tired my arm will be after flying that long!

i had a travel boppy and it was indispensable. but i took 8 flights internationally so that's a different story. it did keep my arms free! how long is your flight?

you can always gate check a stroller but with a 3 month old, a carrier is all you need i think.

I wouldn't bring the hoppy! Way too big to lug around, plus you will have to jam it in the overhead compartment during takeoff and landing, because you could pay me enough to put it on the floor under the seat (EWWW).

They make a travel boppy, but I'm not sure how small it zips up.

There is no way I would lug a boppy. What about one of those smaller travel neck pillows. The boppy would just be too big.

I'm going to be traveling with my 3 month old alone, I'm definitely planning to check 1 bag and carry a back pack & carrier (K'tan). I'm wondering if it would be helpful or a pain to also bring a stroller (and gate check it) and my boppy (and bungee it to my backpack). Thoughts?

Could be handy to have a place to rest baby on layovers and get a break from carrying her, but could also just be more 'stuff' to deal with, especially if she's fussy and won't sit in it. And I thought the boppy might be nice to give my arms a rest on the plane (and it makes feeding so much easier), but it's pretty bulky...
