Thanks for all the advice! I'm still hoping for the BOB based on this. He thinks I don't really "run" (cause apparently my 9-10 min miles are more like fast walking to him....) and therefore don't need a "true" jogging stroller, where I'm willing to pay the extra to make it easier to push. I'm hoping to have him test out a friends so he can see how nicely it handles.

I don't know much about the Britax, but we bought the BOB last month as REI was having a big sale on it. We got the stroller and the carseat adapter for $400, saving us easily $100. Our LO isn't due until 10/9 so I can't tell you how it is yet, but using it around our lawn it handles wonderfully. We have a lot of dirt walking/jogging trails near our house and I wanted something that could withstand that. In the BabySteals 2012 book, they rated that one along with 2 others as the best all-terrian strollers. I didn't want to buy a jogging stroller and another stroller for shopping/day trips so I felt the BOB was a perfect all-in-one stroller for us. In addition, I did register for the skelleton stroller frame for our carseat to use on quick trips to the supermarket or mall.

OH, and one more quick thing... REI is a Co-Op (which I didn't know until recently). We paid a $20 lifetime membership fee which gives you 10% in dividends at the end of the year. The major selling point for me though is that they give full refund on all purchases no matter when you return it. They said I could literally use the stroller for 6 months and decide to return it and we would get our money back. I thought that was amazing!

I vote for the BOB. I don't have experience with the other stroller, but we love our BOB so far. Very smooth to "drive" it, and it isn't that heavy (I'm short/petite, and have no trouble getting it in and out of the back of my SUV).

If you'll be walking/jogging mainly from home, get the BOB. I have the Britax and it's not at all suitable for jogging, though it handles well on our bumpy sidewalks. My solution was to get the Britax (because we live *just* outside the city, therefore we're using it in the city and suburbs...lots of in and out of the car) and a cheaper jogging stroller because I'm not a faithful runner. And you can lock the front wheel on the Britax, but it's kind of a pain to use that way.

I am 5'9" and have the Britax. I love it because the bar at the bottom curves in so I don't wind up kicking it when I walk. I've never jogged with it, but we do take it for lots of walks on bumpy surfaces and it does great.

Oh and you *can* lock the font wheel, but I've never used it with the wheel locked.

The B-Agile is not a jogging stroller and won't be suitable for jogging. The small wheels and inability to lock the front wheel straight will make it difficult to run with the stroller comfortable and safely. When you lock the front wheel of a swivel-wheel jogging stroller, it extends the length of the stroller making it safer for jogging. Also when you hit a pebble with the front wheels of the B-Agile it will shake the whole stroller (while running) because the wheels are so tiny, as compared to a 12" rubber wheel on a jogging stroller which will glide over most bumps without you or your LO feeling it much at all.

I don't have a BOB, but I have a Baby Jogger Summit XC, which is a very comparable stroller with a 12" front swivel wheel that you can lock. My choice was between the Bob Revolution and the Baby Jogger. I chose the Baby Jogger (last year) because Bob had just upped their MSRP by $50. The strollers are very similar is size, shape, and features. The Baby Jogger Summit has a handle in the bottom of the seat that you can pull with one hand to fold and carry the stroller. It is truly a one-hand fold stroller. It is very easy for me to toss this stroller around and get it in an out of the trunk of our sedans. The rear wheels (on both the Bob and the Baby Jogger) pop off with the push of a button, and with the wheels off it folds up smaller than most regular strollers.

We use the Baby Jogger Summit as our only stroller and I love it. It can be slightly more difficult to navigate at the mall, since the rear wheels are set a bit wide, but compared to my travel system that I used for the first few weeks before we invested in the jogger, I don't have more trouble than I did with the travel system stroller. (I don't know how narrow the B-Agile is in comparison.) The swivel wheel makes it really turn on a dime though, and I do go to the mall with this stroller and it works just fine, although I do sometimes have to go around a rack to get to where I want to be. We use it a few times a week and it is very comfortable for DS.

If you really want to jog/run with this stroller, I urge you to go for a true jogging stroller. It will be safe and efficient for running, but also convenient enough for daily use. And when LO is still using an infant carseat, you can get an adapter to use it with the jogger (Bob and Baby Jogger have these available) so that you don't have to wake baby getting in and out of the car.

The only thing I wouldn't do with this stroller is fly with it, since I wouldn't want it to get damaged and without taking the wheels off, it won't go through the scanners in security.

As far as I can tell you can't lock the front wheel of the b-agile so it's not a true jogging stroller. If your primary use will be for jogging I would say get the BOB. It's pretty much the best of the best for that function. And if you will mostly be using it just in your neighbor and not lifting it into and out of the car I don't think the weight should be a huge factor. I personally can lift the BOB no problem.

Depends, do you want to spend the extra money on the BOB? I have the Britain B-Agile and don't see why you couldn't jog with it.

I don't think you can use that specific Britax as a true jogging stroller, to be honest.

I'd go with the BOB and do as you said, with a cheapie umbrella stroller later for travel.

We're currently trying to decide between the Britax B-Agile and the BOB revolution.

I'm voting for the BOB as my primary use will be exercise walking/jogging from home (4-5 miles). I would want to use this for all our other stroller needs as well, with the exception of maybe a cheap umbrella if we end up needing it.

My husband wants to get the Britax as it's smaller/lighter and he thinks it will be suitable for extended walks or short jogs.

Can you use a Britax to jog or a lot of walking? I haven't really heard anyone say they do?

I'm tall (5'10), so I think joggers tend to be better suited for tall parents.
