We have the Boulevard (the regular one, not the clicktight version). We tested the Nextfit in our car but did not buy it because there was so little space between the roof and tall car seat sides to load our toddler. It seemed impossible to load her without hitting her head.

The boulevard will fit nicely. And I appreciate the lock-offs because they make it easier to install the seat in the middle, where we can't use latch. However, I have a major beef with this seat: the harness adjustment is so difficult. We found it impossible to tighten properly just by pulling the adjustment strap. Britax said to reach behind the seat and pull down on the harness from behind, which does work when the seat is rearfacing (what will we do when it is forward facing, though?). I personally feel it is not acceptable because if someone unfamiliar were using it (like a relative or babysitter), they would think to pull the harness from behind the seat.

In our other car, we have the Graco Milestone and love it. It adjusts so easily. Does not have lock-offs though. It takes up slightly more space.

We just got a nextfit, and haven't used it so I can't really comment. but I will say that easy cleaning is a major plus, especially when potty training. We have a maxi cosi pria that is also super easy to clean, and I have been so grateful to be able to throw the cover in the wash!

I have no experience with the Boulevard but love our Nextfit Zips! We have pukers so being able to clean it easily was very important. It's also highly rated and easy to use...and they seem very comfy in it. I haven't had any issues with the high sides you'd mentioned.

@peaches1038: Same boat! We will be switching in about a month and I have gotten tons of recommendations for the Nextfit. We have a Chicco infant seat so I am happy to stick with the brand!

@peaches1038: I guess, a little... But we went to the store and literally dumped her in a ton of seats and Chicco def seemed very comfy. The Britax I mainly got b/c of an amazing deal and b/c I used a Britax infant seat so I trust the brand!

@snowjewelz: thanks! I've heard the high sides on the nextfit make it hard to get them in and out. Do you find that to be a problem? Does she seem comfy in both or seem to prefer one more?

I have both. and I like both! I guess I'm biased towards the Nextfit a little bit since that's in our car while Britax is in my mom's car. I have no complaints about either! We drive a CRV, DH is a big guy but she's in the middle seat right now.

So I'm sure this has been asked a million times but tell me about these car seats. DS is almost 7 months, 21 lbs and 28 1/4 in. I drive a Santa Fe compact SUV and DH and I are both on the taller side. The seat will stay in the car. I'm definitely looking for extended rear facing and side impact protection. I want the seat to be easy to use but also comfortable. Anybody like one better than the other?
