I had to remove a piece of plastic from my front seat to do it, but it seems far safer, so I did it. </p> <p>It's actually one of the reasons I don't want to remove the seat for other people to use when driving my son around. I know it's required for a front facing seat, but since we could easily attach the tether to a secure spot while rearfacing, we went for it.</p> <p>That is really interesting on the different tether options. We had a Swedish Britax while living in Europe and the tether on that seat went around the front seat, kind of like lasso style.
