@MoreCoffee: Good call! I usually check those anyway (well at least I do on my bucket seat) so it should be fine.

We have the NextFit and while I like the seat overall, as @mrs.shinerbock mentioned the straps and cover are a pain. It is, however, VERY easy to install and my 30 lb, 34 inch DS is still rear-facing without complaint. We also moved the seat to the middle so he climbs in/out himself and all I have to do is buckle him in.

My nephews are in brand new marathons with clicktight and they are so nice. The straps are much easier to tighten and the seat is lower profile. I did see a consumer reports warning a few months ago about them as an FYI, but perhaps this issue's been addressed:

http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2014/11/two-britax-car-seats-could-pose-safety-risk/index.htm

@mrs.shinerbock: That's funny that you hate the Nextfit, because in comparison to the Maxi Cosi Pria in my car, I love it, lol. We have a Nextfit in DH's car, and we just brought it with us to use for a week on vacation.

Pros - easy to install (which is why we brought it), straps are easier to tighten then the Pria, small footprint so the passenger can have leg room.

Cons - it's harder to get DS into than mine because of the higher sides. I haven't tried to take off the cover of the Nextfit, but it SUCKED with the Pria, so if I had it to do over again I might get the Nextfit Zip, which has an easy off cover.

@looch: No, I think you're right! I think the Boulevard has more head/wing padding, and also RF another inch or so.

I asked the same question not long ago
http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/britax-clicktight-or-chicco-nextfit

The results were pretty equally split between Chicco and Britax. I ended up getting the Britax Boulevard Clicktight. It is the same size as the Marathon with more side impact protection. I am really happy with it. It was super easy to install and DS seems to like it. We have a Prius so the back seat is pretty small.

@Littlebit: I have a Boulevard without Clicktight and Frontier with Clicktight. My son is 4, and he was able to rear face in the previous version of the Blvd until he was 30 months old. I think size wise, Marathon and Blvd are pretty much equal, but the Blvd might have more padding....don't quote me on that though.

@looch: Which clicktight seat do you have? I'm also kind of debating between the Boulevard and Marathon. The boulevard allows for a little bit of a taller child, but I'm sure he'll slow down height-wise eventually, so I'm not sure if that's worth the extra $. I'm also unsure of how much bigger the Boulevard is compact-wise and if it would fit in my car.

I don't have the Chicco, but I do have a Britax seat with the Clicktight technology and I LOVE it. Once you get to the point where you can't use LATCH any longer and you need to go to a belt install, you will love having the Britax for ease and security of the installation.

I have the NextFit and don't like it. It is very hard to tighten the straps, it's hard to get her in and out of without banging her head on the door frame of the car because the sides are so high, and taking the cover off to clean is a real PITA. LO doesn't really like it either and much prefers the Graco we have in DH's car.

Going crazy trying to decide which car seat to get and could use some help/advice.

My LO is 6 months and in the 97-99% for height. The carseat would be going in my husbands car mostly, but occasionally in my car. He drives a large truck where space isn't an issue, but I drive a smaller SUV where the backseat isn't super large.

I've been referred to the Clicktight Marathon and the Chicco Nextfit as the best options for us (tall baby, not big backseat). I think the Marathon will be easier to move from car to car, but I'm not sure if we will be doing that all too often so I don't know if that's a huge sell point. The Nextfit is more compact for when it's in my car.

Which do you have, and do you like it? Is one more comfy? Is one easier to get a baby in and out of? The Marathon is about $25 more but that isn't really a huge factor. HELP!
