Thats what I thought,(sale) but every site I saw, they were pulled off., and I called Babies R Us, and they said they were instructed to pull all of their stock and send it back. Lame.

@LivsMama: It has to be unopened. They still have it on Amazon?
Good to know about the new model then because I might wait! They'll probably put the 70 on wicked sale to get rid of stock!

@regberadaisy: is there really?! Im surprised theyd accept a car seat back. Like what if it was in an accident and the person said they didnt like it? I dont think most parents would do that but you never know...

We have the Marathon... Two of them actually. They fit better in our car and they were on sale when we bought our second one on Amazon last week.

Even the Marathon is highly protective above and beyond a generic car seat, so I didn't go looking for extra bells and whistles :)

@regberadaisy: Anytime! I had a hard time deciding too because the side wings felt safer, you know? So I thought I wanted to go with that one. But after I tried it out for a week, my son hated it so I opted for the Marathon instead. He also hated the wings because when he would fall asleep in the car and his head would drift to the side, the wings kept getting in the way. Some kids don't mind the wings but unfortunately my son hated them. =\

@banana: thanks! That is very informative. I was previously leaning towards the boulevard but I think I won't now because of that. LO is so far very tall for her age as well.

@regberadaisy: The boulevard has these side "wings" right by the head that extend out a bit to provide greater protection from side impact. The marathon doesn't have that. My LO is tall for his age so the wings on the Boulevard are right next to his eyes so when he turns his head, he can't see out the window or the person sitting next to him (usually me). He has to push his head forward to look out the window and he hates that. The Marathon has side protection but doesn't have the wings so he can look out the window without straining his neck.

We have the Marathon and my LO loves it because he can look out the window. We borrowed a friend's Boulevard and he would fuss because he couldn't see out the window as easily as in the Marathon.

I have used both but only in forward facing so I can't really comment on the intrusive-ness factor when rear facing. Forward facing though I find the Boulevard to be totally fine though, it does not get in our way getting her in, even if she is asleep.

It says that shoulder height is 16.75 inches which is the same as the Marathon and ours is from 3 years ago so it could be different but I cannot get mine that high which means it is quickly outgrown (LONG before 70 pounds.) I would play with this a little in store if you have that ability though.

The other seat that might be worth looking at is the Diono Radian, car seat techs love this seat because it is one of the few that can truly last a child until they are out of a seat.

Good luck!

I have a BLVD and love it. I use it only in the car and bought another cheaper seat for air travel that I won't feel bad about checking. If there's any chance you'd use it for travel, I'd get the Roundabout (the model below the Marathon).

So we have the Britax Advocate 70CS, but need a second seat. The Advocate is great, but the air cushions are really more effective for a side install, and she is in the center of our SUV (and we move it from my car to DHs, both of us have SUVs.) Our nanny has a car and it needs to be side installed, so we are giving her the Advocate. Now Im debating whether to get the Marathon or the Boulevard for our car. The Boulevard has additional head protection (which the advocate also has. Its the advocate without the side air cushions) that I find to be very restrictive and intrusive. But then panic sets in when I think about an accident and having the Marathon without that extra head padding. Its just I cant imagine her having to deal with that head restraint until shes out of that seat. Its great for a baby, but as a toddler? Not so much. Liv also HATES the car, so thats not helping any.

Anyways, sorry for the novel, but do any of you have one of these, and do you like it?
