Do you have it RF or FF?

I had this problem with a (FF) Britax Frontier, but it had an open back so it was catching on the back of the vehicle seat.

I would call Britax customer service! I had an Advocate Clicktight seat that stopped “clicking” and was getting hard to tighten like you’re describing, and they were very helpful walking me through any potential issues (ultimately they ended replacing it 🙌🏼)

We have a marathon clicktight and I don’t find it that bad. But I had a harder time with the britax emblem my mom now has and it’s a super common problem with car seats in general (I ended up returning a graco convertible for this reason). You can often do this kind of wiggle where you pull, then you adjust the straps from the back to move the slack around to try again (I am not describing well but Dr google probably can) but it’s annoying and I didn’t want to do it for years. Also make sure nothing’s caught of course. I’ve had several britax convertibles and haven’t noticed it so maybe something is off with it.

We have a Britax Marathon that my SIL gave to us practically brand new, but I find that the pull strap to tighten the straps is REALLY hard pull tight. Is this normal? I can manage to pull it until i can pull it about 2-3 inches from his chest pretty easily and then I have to pull with my entire weight to get it tighter, but as tight as I can get it, i still feel like there's too much of a gap (maybe like 1.5 finger width - i cant try pinch test cause of the rubber piece on the strap), but no matter how hard I pull it just doesnt budge. Does anyone that has this carseat think this is typical for it?
Our other car seat is a Chicco Nextfit and it practically glides and is so much easier to tighten.
