Usually the standard is that if its enough to fill a pad in an hour then you need to go in or go to the ER.

It's SO light, i wouldn't even have noticed it if i wasn't really looking. like VERY light pinkish brown. i mentioned it when i called to make an appointment this morning (she actually asked if i had had any spotting) but the woman at the office didn't seem concerned.

If you call in they will likely tell you not to worry unless you have cramping or heavy bleeding. This early they can't do an ultrasound or anything so it's sort of a wait and see approach. I had spotting that came before a miscarriage, and I had spotting that happened throughout my successful pregnancy with a healthy baby so there's really no way to say what's going on. I would just rest and keep an eye on things and call your doctor if things get worse.

Spotting during pregnancy is normal. I had red spotting my entire first tri.

I would keep an eye on it and watch for cramps and other pain.

@lioneyes: I had this with both pregnancies, even as much as red bleeding. Spotting is common in early pregnancy but call if it would ease your mind!

i am 4w 1d today and just had some VERY light pink/brown cm, like i get 2-3 days before my period. Is this normal/ok? I'm not cramping or anything.
also, I don't have my first appointment until the end of the month.
