<description>&#60;p&#62;We didn't start rinsing until we were ready to transition to fluoride toothpaste... so started practicing spitting around 2.5 and now at 3 he uses fluoride toothpaste and spits. Rinsing, not so much. But we try.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I put water on his tooth brush afterwards and give them another good scrub just so the toothpaste isn't sitting on his teeth. Not sure if it helps or not...we will be going to the dentist soon! (DS is 15 months)

<description>&#60;p&#62;We just started brushing D's teeth.  We're using one of the &#34;first toothpastes,&#34; you know, without flouride.  But do you rinse after you finish brushing their teeth?  I mean, he's a year old, so he clearly won't get it if we tell him to spit it out.  Do you just let it go?  Do you give him a sip of water?  This is probably a stupid question but I'm confused!
