My parents bought DD1s crib over and got held at the border for six hours because the crib wasn't approved by Canadian standards. Car seats aren't allowed either. I've heard horror stories of people getting major fines and then getting investigated for child endangerment. We got our crib and mattress there from walmart and buy buy baby. The crib I ordered to a store. the mattress just picked up on the day with a 20% off coupon. Buybuybaby has a great selection of stuff but i'd watch the prices now since the CDN $ sucks and if it's a day trip you might get nailed with duty and taxes. </p> <p>The maternity selection was as bad or worse than the stores here (old navy, gap and mootherhood maternity) and the prices weren't much different. I did get some honest diapers from buybuybaby/target and a few other things. </p> <p>I'd just look on google maps for the nearest babies r us, buybuybaby etc to where you're going. I know you can only get the rock'n play in the US (not sold in canada) so if you want one of those get it there.
