We were going to go with UppaBaby Vista but it was a little too heavy for me. The UppaBaby Cruz is 3 pounds lighter and that made enough of a difference for me to make the purchase. It doesn't come with the bassinet but we got the car seat adapter to use it as a snap-n-go for the times when the baby is asleep from the car and we also got the infant insert so if we're just going for a walk, I don't have to use the carseat. Our baby hasn't arrived yet but I love the ease of folding it up!

Just FYI to those considering the City Select. I found it to be really large and heavy. I was still considering it until I talked to my cousin who has it and uses it as a double. She's not psyched with it and her husband hates it so we decided to cross it off our list.

@hilsy85: check out Lucie's List - she talks about both. That being said - I think we're going for the Vista or City Mini or Select.

@mrs. bird: Thanks! I definitely do want a bassinet, so I like that the bug and the uppa come with it. I'm also not planning on having to use the carseat that much, since we don't drive, and I don't like the idea of keeping the baby in the carseat for extended periods of time while we're out and about...but thanks for your input! It was definitely on my list until I saw it doesn't come with the bassinet :)

@Mrs. Jacks: haha brooklyn heights actually :)

I like the Vista (over the Bugaboo). Currently, the City Select is top on my list.

if you're considering those two, you may want to throw the britax b-ready in there as an option too. it's very similar to the vista, a bit less $$, but it doesn't come with the bassinet, so you can buy it separately if you want one, but you're not paying for something you might not need. if you have the britax infant seat, it just clicks in like a snap'n go system without needing to buy an extra adapter bar. some people thought the wheels could one the old one weren't as smooth as the vista's, but they upgraded them for the 2012 version and now they're supposed to be great. it also can be configured a zillion different ways if you have another LO and wanna use it as a double.

We have and love the Vista. We're suburbanites so we don't mind the extra heft. We also are hoping it will be our one and only stroller. Going to buy the rumble seat soon to prepare for Lil Miss Wagon!

@pointybird: of course your opinion counts! I"m glad to hear from anyone who has tried either :) The addition of the rumble seat is really handy too. Don't think the bug allows that to be added.

@MamaMoose: yup, saving a few hundred dollars wouldn't hurt :)
@Foodnerd81: I agree that the bug is a little more streamlined...but to me, it's almost TOO streamlined, if that makes sense..like I feel like there's not enough of it sometimes!

I didn't test drive the Bugaboo, so I don't know if my opinion really counts, but I have the Vista and really like it. We live in an area with brick sidewalks and lots of cobblestone and the ride is still really smooth. It folds up easily and I like that it can be converted to a double if we decide to have another little one.

I know a number of people who considered both. 2 ended up with Uppa Baby, 1 with Bugaboo. The consensus among the three was:

Bugaboo is a little slighter and smaller, less bulky. More expensive and less storage space. (Personally I think it is prettier :)

Uppa Baby is a little bulkier and heavier, which is a factor is you carry it up and down stairs or put it in and our of s trunk. Is cheaper and has more storage space underneath.

Ive test driven both and prefer the Vista. In my opinion it was more versatile and easier to fold, not to mention cheaper.

We're trying to decide between the bugaboo cameleon and the uppababy vista. We definitely need to go to the store and test drive them each, but for people who have either or considered either, what did you think?
