@regberadaisy: there is a nurse line, but that has proven to be very unhelpful the past couple times I've called. I was able to attach pictures to the message for his dr, so hopefully that will help.
@Eko: dust mites, interesting, my husband is mildly allergic to dust...so that is a possibility. Thanks!! Do they typically go away within an hour? You couldn't even tell anything has been wrong about an hour after it appeared. Not even lingering redness.

@cheesehead: I get reactions to dust mite bites sometimes. Those you can't see.

@cheesehead: I hope it's nothing, but definitely a good idea to contact your ped. Do they not have a off hour answering service?

@T.H.O.U.: @Eko: Thanks for your replies!
I have a message in to the Dr, waiting to hear back tomorrow. I would have initially thought bug bite too.....but he was sitting in my lap when it appeared.

I would definitely call the doctor but it could be a reaction to a bug bite too. I can get bad reactions to bites sometimes that show up that big.

So yesterday during dinner this odd bump appeared on the side my son's head. It was a wide low bump, and then a smaller more raised bump right on a birthmark he has, on top of the bigger bump. The swelling went away in less than an hour and didn't bother him at all. It's the second time it's shown up, the first was 1-2 months ago. I am emailing his pedi, but didn't know if anyone has seen this before? I tried to take a picture, but getting him to sit still is near impossible! Thanks!!
