It is super sturdy. I'd say we've had it for about a year now. And, I second what others have said about checking out Craigslist/FB Market for it. However, they are short enough that my son around 45" tall can fully stand on the top bunk. We just got a bunk bed for our girls about a month ago and it’s already broken :shocked: the guardrail came off and lo2 fell off the bed with it, we’re lucky she didn’t break her arm or worse!! (Note: avoid the crate &amp; barrel wrightwood bed— the guardrail only attached at the bottom with 4 small screws...) my kids aren’t even THAT rambunctious, this never should have broken so easily</p> <p>It is SO hard to pick out a sturdy bed online so id love any recs! </p>
