They are cheap, super absorbent, and soft. We were gift some cute embroidered ones as well. I ended up buying 10 more of the pre-folds and those became my staple. I used those the most - then when we went out I'd grab one cutesy one and one pre-fold... Then a&a was on gilt while they had a 40% off code so I treated myself to one 2-pack for dd2 and they really are so nice and soft. I still couldn't pay full price though. I use those or the BRU cloth diaper type ones mostly, even though I have like a dozen hand me down "burp cloths" which are way too narrow. Toys r us makes prefolds with cute designs that don't look like diaper prefolds from afar. You can tell when you are up close. I think it's like a 3-4 pack for $10. That's what we got passed down to us and they are great. I grab those before the other thin ones. I have never tried an A&A one, though. These are the pretty prefold ones from babies r us. For DD, I made all her burp cloths, but we were gifted a set of Aiden & Anais ones that were the best! I love how absorbent and soft they are, but I'm not really into paying $11-$12 each. I found a set of two for $12 on Amazon today so I snagged those, but I'd love to get some more since I remember having burp cloths EVERYWHERE last time. ETA: I've heard good things about cloth diaper inserts, but never used them!
