I wore dresses and bought 2 maternity pencil skirts that I wore with sweaters/cardigans/blazers (open) for my job. I wore with black tights through the winter. I didn't buy maternity just bought the biggest size I could find and they worked great.

I loved my maternity dress pants. Super comfy paired with any of my cute tops. As it got colder here I wore leggings with long tunics or sweaters with boots.

@TrailRunner: I saw quite a few maternity hose at Pea and Macy's and online at Motherhood Maternity. Our winters are usually not cold enough for stockings, but this year with a bump to support I'll pick up black tights.

My first Isabella Oliver dress arrived this morning and I absolutely love it! The other dress is on back order. Over the weekend I visited my local Pea in the Pod and found a pair of great ankle grazing slacks for work. Pea also had several Isabella Oliver, but they only carry sizes 1-4.

I'm a size 12 and find form fitting clothing that highlight my bump to be way more flattering than some of the A-line dresses or tops and dresses that are loose. Do you show off your bump alot?

Here's the dress

I'm 14 weeks right now and so far I've been wearing maternity trousers (have a pair I love from Liz Lange), a flowy blouse and either an unbuttoned blazer or cardigan. I'm still wearing pumps at this point but my OB suggested switching to flats soon! I think I'll compromise though and get some wedges

I've found that playing around with accessories really dresses up my outfits too. I love a plain blouse with a statement necklace!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: haha, yeah, I just wore my regular non-maternity blazer. I couldn't button it while pregnant, but it still helped dress up any shirt/blouse I was wearing to make me look more professional. It was good enough!

I say you can have a bit of a style pass. I mean I didn't dress sloppily but I didn't dress as cute non pregnant. I wore flats beginning 2nd trimester because I needed to! They are just more comfortable and towards the end I get so swollen I usually only have one pair of shoes that fit. Clothes wise I mainly wore dresses during the warmer months. I also had pants (Gap, destination maternity, loft) with nicer maternity tops. Definitely not as cute but I'm not one of those women who feels cute pregnant. I crave comfort while pregnant.

I bought the majority of my maternity professional wear from A Pea in the Pod and the quality varies – some of it is crap, but I bought some really nice professional dresses that I wore through my entire pregnancy and they held up spectacularly.

My go-to (whether pregnant or not) is a dress, cardigan and heels. I wore more wrap dresses when pregnant than I do when not, but other than that, all the dresses all the time.

@looch: I was half joking! On the GAP maternity website alot of the models wore flats- that would be a style pass in my book. Alas, I am too short and fluffy to pull off flats I need a little lift. The great thing is I visit my customers every 2-3 months so I don't have to buy too many clothes since no one sees me everyday anyway.

@Adira: lol, I'll have to get over the rule to buy blazers that can button and lay flat against the chest because otherwise that's just too much fabric!

@Rockies11: cool I'll just stop by bothering with browsing Pea in the Pod altogether!

@Eko: I saw a few of her casual tops at Macy's and they were super cute. I'll have to work a bit harder and check out the pants.

My go to is Gap elastic-waist trousers, a solid-colored maternity tank top, and one of the million cardigans I already owned. Top it off with some fun jewelry and low heels in black. That's pretty much what I wear when not pregnant, I just have more colors of pants.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I find Pea in a Pod to be very expensive and extremely low quality. My best go-tos were Isabella Oliver, Gap elastic waist not roll top trousers, and the flowy shirts and blazers, or dresses and blazers. I just sized up in blazers so they would fit over my expanded back, and bought cheap ones for the pregnancy from Loft, Zara, or H and M. I wore black leather flats for shoes with everything.

I wore black maternity dress pants 75% of the time and switched to maxi dresses and skirts at the end (black and gray mostly). I wore a lot of solid colored shirts with cardigans in the spring (due in May). In the fall, i wore a lot of sweaters. I had a couple blazers that I wore for a bit but eventually they got too tight. My new favorite pair of shoes (i don't do heels) are Alegria black leather nursing shoes. I wear them a lot to work and WISH i had them while pregnant. They look dressy with black pants but are very comfy (after a length break-in period, that is)

I had a pair of nice dress pants (the Garbo Trouser) from Isabella Oliver that had a cuff and a pleat in them and they stayed looking nice. A girlfriend gave me a pair of hers from RJ Maternity and they also had a strong pleat in them. I really liked Isabella Oliver for dressier/nicer work stuff. It was all really soft and stretchy, but held up great throughout both pregnancies. Way better than some less expensive stuff I wore. A lot of it I'm also still wearing PP because it's made for during/after pregnancy (without looking ridiculous)

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: hee hee. Maybe you can find one that has a V cut that doesn't go too far down. I did a quick search of amazon and this one could look nice for business professional with a necklace and cardigan/jacket.

http://www.amazon.com/PattyBoutik-Short-Sleeve-Maternity-Dress/dp/B009O8M04S/ref=sr_1_5?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1446726573&sr=1-5&nodeID=7141123011&keywords=maternity+wrap+dress

So far my go to outfit has been a pullover dress that hugs my belly and low heel pumps. It's easy, but getting old.
