@hellobeeboston: Well, I have a $100 off $500 or more that expired this week, the 20% for signing up for emails (current), and a BRU $25 off $100 or more competitor coupon. We'll see! If they will take the expired $100 off one and a 20%, then I will *have* to get the upgraded fabric that I like, just so we can get the deal... right? :)

we used 1 20% off coupon when we purchased our glider -- i didn't even think to combine and try to get a better deal... 'doh!

definitely try!! and i would say if one person doesn't allow it - maybe come back the next day & try someone else! ha!

Follow up to this-- I haven't ordered the glider yet (this weekend!) but in my research (aka obsessively asking my friends) for FURNITURE orders, they will only take Buy Buy Baby coupons, not current Bed Bath and Beyond (though, if you push, they'll probably give in).

I have a handful of different coupons I'm going to bring and see what I can combine, so I will let you all know what I find out on Sunday.

@Foodnerd81: Yes. Actually I have never run into a cashier that says they cannot do that because it's excluded so they must train them not to follow it. We make lost of our baby purchases there because of this and their awesome returns (they even allowed me to return my first breastpump, which I used, because of an issue they felt was more manufacture and gave me credit towards a PISA).

@Alivoo01: Yes my mom had something price adjusted and they told her that she could come in whenever! It was like a week later when she finally got out that way and they did it no questions asked.

@Foodnerd81: Oh, then you should definitely buy all your baby stuff in Nashua! We live just 10 minutes away from there and it always throws me when I buy stuff in Mass and it costs more.

@MrsCB: Even better, we should be able to borrow BIL's SUV :) We just have a regular car with a pretty regular size trunk.

ETA: Though, for just the glider, saving the tax is probably around $30 and I wonder how much we would spend on gas getting an SUV up there anyway.

@anbanan15: Good to know they will price adjust if you bring in the coupon and receipt, and don't need to bring the product in! Hubby bought something last night, but didn't bring coupon. I need to get a price adjustment soon! And that's weird they don't follow the exclusions. It's great news to me. I'll have to try and see if that works post-baby shower so that I can use the 20% instead of the completion coupon.

@Foodnerd81: I think you'd have to pick it up. We got a Best Chair recliner that looks huge, but is actually really light, and comes in 2 pieces. If you have a car, it would be do-able.

@MrsCB: I hadn't thought of going up to Nashua. But that wouldn't work if we have it delivered to MA, right?

DH did have my engagement ring shipped to a friend in NH to save on taxes. Smart man, except then she took a little while to get it to him and admits she tried it on for a while :)

@Foodnerd81: Our Buy Buy only takes non-expired coupons, even their own. I haven't really heard about being able to combine coupons, except when you have a manufacturer's coupon, plus a store coupon.

You're in the Boston area, right? You could save some money by going to the Nashua BBB and getting things tax free :) (which is what we do).

I feel like someone has mentioned combining coupons-- like the 20% and the completion discount, but I can't remember exactly which ones. And yes, I was told in a stand alone Buy Buy Baby that they will take any Buy Buy Baby printed coupon, even if it is expired, but only current Bed Bath and Beyond coupons or competitor coupons. So in theory it sounds like I could use a 20% coupon, and a $100 off $500 or more coupon, together, for a glider (if the price is still over x amount after 20% off)...

@anbanan15: I'm not surprised they don't follow the exclusions very carefully. I feel like that is something where you could go to one cashier and they say no, then go to another cashier and they'd ring it up no problem.

@Foodnerd81: Just FYI - if the BBB is a stand alone (and not a part of a Bed Bath & Beyond) my understanding from talking to store managers are two different BBB locations is that they will only take non expired Bed Bath & Beyond 20% off coupons. @anbanan15: may have gotten lucky because her BBB is inside a Bed Bath and therefore they kinda have to take them just like all other Bed Baths take expired coupons.

I have used multiple 20% coupons at once (like buying 3 big items so I take 3 20% off coupons with me) along with a $5 off $15 coupon. I am not sure about using the 20% off along with the registry completion - maybe someone can comment to that?!

@Foodnerd81: Just an FYI. We don't have a Buy Buy Baby but we have a Bed Bath and Beyond that essentially has a BBB inside (one of the few that do). They DO NOT follow the exclusions on the bottom of the coupon, so if the item you want to purchase with the 20% off is specifically listed in the exclusions you can STILL get the 20% off on that item!! They also will allow you to use an EXPIRED coupon that has expired at ANY date as long is it is from their printed flyer (so their email coupons they do adhere to the expiration date, but again do not follow the exclusions on them). You can also use a competitors coupon like Babies/Toys R Us or any other store that sells similar items and they do price match.

ETA: I forgot some more :) They DO combine coupons as long as they are different types, so you could use a 20% off, $5 off etc on the same purchase. They will even price adjust if you forgot your coupon and then later return with the receipt and your coupon. You don't even need to bring the items with.

For big purchases at Buy Buy Baby, how have you gotten the best deals? I want to purchase my glider soon, which isn't excluded from the coupons the way Uppababy or something is. I know people have combined coupons and for a big purchase, I'm willing to wait a few weeks until I get the right coupons in the mail. Tips? Tricks? I'm also willing to be a little pushy in the store if they try to tell me they won't combine, if I hear from people on here that they did :)
