It's useful for brands that are excluded from the coupons, like say Uppababy, etc, or if you wanted to treat it like a 20% off entire purchase coupon I guess you could try to add everything you wanted to your registry before you make your purchase. At one point I planned to do that but with a newborn I just didn't have the time. Several times a year they have a completion "event" where your entire purchase is 20% off (instead of the standard 10% completion) and the stire is only open to registrants.
