He also bought and sold an iPad that way. 2 of the 3 phones he purchased were less than a year old so he still had the warranty which I liked. He has to buy his phone outright to keep his plan so this way he saves a couple hundred dollars. </p> <p>All the things you mentioned are what you need to check and just test it out while you’re with the person and you should be good to go. Have any of you bought a used phone off Facebook, LetGo, etc.? I know to check for water damage, get the IMEI, and make sure it's compatible with my carrier (verizon).
