Yes! I had a C-section 9-22 and I am numb where I was cut. I can pinch and pinch, and nothing! It's uncomfortable.

@MamaBehr: @LivsMama: thats what im hoping for with my second lo, a easier time bc i labored for 28 hours before my emergency csection the first time.

@red_seattle: lol one of the doctors in my hospital pulled out a balloon, blew it up, and drew a line on it. He measured the line and said "see, this is 7 inches." Then he let the air out of the balloon, measured it and said "now its x (I dont remember) inches. thats exactly what happens with your belly." I was like "ahhhh makes sense!" lol.

@MamaBehr: quite possibly. I didnt labor at all, and my recovery was substantially easier than most people who had labored that Ive spoken with.

I also have to say that after the second one it fads so much faster! I was really surprised by this! I have some feeling, 9 months pp, and I don't think I had that much with my first.

I have to wonder if that is because I didn't labor with my second baby, he was just an automatic c-section, so in general my healing was better.

Side note-- anyone else amazed at the scar shrinking? They told me it would shrink to 4-6 inches, and I didn't believe them, but it did. I think it's maybe 5 inches now, and I would say before it was closer to 7. Totally amazed.

I'm 12.5 months pp, and like you, pushed for 3 hours (among other complications) before having a c-section. I don't have any problems going to the bathroom anymore. But I do have numbness at the incision site and sensations (I wouldn't call it pain, or tingling, I have no idea how to describe it) a little above the scar sometimes. It's usually when I have pressure on my belly for some reason, and then it'll be a bit bothered for a few hours, but not at all painful, itchy, or tingly... just, weird, for lack of a better word. But 90% of the time, it's hunky dory.

Had two sections and currently almost 8 months pp. I felt more after my first section than I did with my second. I think b/c it's my first. I felt it pull the first few months or so and part of it felt numb and it did get itchy from time-to-time. Lying on my belly took a long time to get used to w/o feeling something.

After my second section I don't feel as much but the numbness is still there and the itchiness from time-to-time as well. I don't feel the pulling sensation though like I did after my first.

5 months pp here and I randomly get a hint of soreness and itching sometimes. I am certainly shooting for a vbac for the next one because I liked my first birth experience way better.

Im 16 months pp and have full feeling around my incision site. I want to say I had full feeling by like 4 months afterward. I dont feel anything when laying on my belly or going #2. It feels like I never had anything done.

You could have some residual scar tissue underneath the incision, which you feel when you lay down. How long has it been? If you labored and/or pushed, that could affect how you feel while going #2.

I had my section with no labor, and Ill have another one next time. I had zero desire for a vaginal birth the first time, I have no intentions of trying for a VBAC when I have my next.

I am almost nearly 7 months post partum. It just makes me wonder how my future expanding belly will affect things with my future baby #2!

Mine doesn't itch it's just off feeling and sore on occasion like rainy days.

My scar can be itchy and it feels a little weird sometimes but not numb. I still have pain in the area after a long walk or carrying LO in the carrier--it still sometimes hurts to get up from lying down in bed. 7 months postpartum.

The area around my incision was numb for a while. It felt very weird touching it. Almost like I was touching someone else.

I'm about 7 months post partum and no more numbness but it does itch like crazy sometimes.

I have not experienced any of the other things you described though.

I'm a little scared of another c-section because I had a bad experience with this one. I think they did not give me enough anesthetic because I felt so much pain at one point that I was dry heaving.

yeah my scar area is numb and its been 7 months. My doctor told me its because some of the nerves get cut and take a long time to return to normal sensation if ever. I am also hoping to have a VBAC next time but I dont think this will affect it. I never really lay o n my belly so I dont have that issue, but how long has it been since your c-section?

This may be odd but has anyone lost sensation near their incision site? I do and don't like to be touched near it so I dont. I also get a weird sensation when laying on my belly nothing painful just noticible? Also, I notice a weird sensation when dropping a deuce(TMI) I almost feel like I can't push as well?

It makes me wonder about a VBAC for my next pregnancy or going straight for a section. Do you wonder this? LO head was stuck so I couldn't deliver after 3 hours of pushing!
