My DS is 8 now, but after my c-section I was able to lose all the weight & more in about 9-10 months. The issue was the extra skin. I still to this day have a small flap of skin that hangs, but my stomach is flat again. That sounds so utterly disgusting... but it's truth! :)

It's been 7 months for me and my belly is still changing. I've heard that recovery time for your body is the same amount of time as your pregnancy. So, don't be too worried, your body knows what to do. Things may not be like before, but it will get better over time.

yeah those folds will go away, dont worry. That was weird for me too. Chances are you still have some puffiness there too, due to fluid retention. That will also go away

@Livsmama- good to know. Honestly it feels tighter each day I'm just so not used to the little skin folds!

itll definitely go down more. At this point, you still have some belly and some loose skin. My skin significantly tightened up between 8-12 weeks. The pooch willl keep going down, but youll have to do some lower ab exercises to strengthen those muscles back up to (close to) original

i think your belly will still go down more! i think my belly returned to normal on its own but it took longer than 8w definitely. i had a vaginal delivery, though, so unsure about c-section tummies.

i never went back to my prebaby belly alas even though I lost all the weight. i don't know how i will without a ton of exercise (which i can't find time for), or liposuction (which i'm too scared to get!).

For those of you who have had a c-section tell me how long it took you to lose the belly. I'm 8w PP right now and have about 5 pounds to lose and I really need to tone up my belly. Does it continue to naturally go down a bit or is this really what I'm working with?
