I want to say around week 8-10 I started feeling more normal! I have a follow up appointment next week and I think they’ll take them off for me then which I don’t really want them to do just yet! Eee 😬<br /> But yea I was told that otherwise I’d need to take them off and just do a few at a time since they’d probably not just all fall off by themselves. </p> <p>Regarding pain, after my first c-section I took ibuprofen for a while. If I was still in pain I’d still be taking ibuprofen. I don’t mean the random sharp pains or like if you sneeze but otherwise I’m going to keep taking it. </p> <p>What I had forgotten about was the numbness! The incision itself has finally started to not give me any kind of twinges or pain this week but the skin below my belly button is very sensitive, hence the high waisted pants/underwear. I thought this recover was easier than my first, but I have a toddler this time around so I know I definitely overdid it at times. I am also still having some bleeding/spotting. </p> <p>I pulled the steristrips off at 2.5 weeks and didn't have an issue. I'm not sure if it's because they are going through the same incision and there's already scar tissue there or what. But the top layer of skin for my incision opened up, and it was super painful. They replaced the strips and they were on for about 5 weeks. I wasn't in real pants again until at least 8 weeks...it was just super sore and sensitive. Steritape is still on too. - all of it! I’m waiting for my plastic surgeon friend to reply about that but curious what other experiences were while I wait. </p>
