I bled maybe for about 4-5 weeks but it wasn't heavy the whole time.

I also had that pulling feeling and my doc said it was normal. It faded over time and was completely gone by about 4 months pp.

I can't remember how long I bled PP after my first c-section, but with my second it was awhile because I kept pushing myself (how could i tell my 2 year old I couldn't get her out of the crib while she was crying?!). If you are pushing it physically, it will make you bleed longer.

I've never had any pulling from my c-sections, so I'm glad you are going it. I did have pain after my second and it was a weird skin tab, that they cleaned up and it felt better pretty quickly.

@ladybee: I had extreme pain after my second section on my left side that felt like hair pulling. It got so bad sometimes I couldn't walk. It was the internal stitch in my uterus. He said it was the anchor stitch and he had to make it really tight because my tissue was weak from my previous section 15 months earlier. It lasted about 5 days.

With DS I bled for less than 2 weeks. With DD it was closer to 3 1/2 weeks.

@Jennimac: I removed the steri strips Saturday night and noticed it last night. I called my doctor and they are bringing me in. It's not hot, red, or leaking so I'm hoping its nothing.

I'd check with your doctor. I don't have anything that feels like that. It felt weird the day I removed the tape, but just for that day. I'm still bleeding. It took a month for me to stop bleeding with my vaginal delivery so I'm expecting something of the same time frame.

I didn't experience hardness or bulging so I would definitely ask your doctor, but I did have a tugging feeling on one side of the incision. LO was wedged into that side of my pelvis and they had to do a lot of pulling to get her out. I remember asking my doctor and she said it was normal.

I can't exactly remember how long pp bleeding lasted but it was longer than I expected. It wasn't heavy after the first 3 days but I don't think it stopped completely for 6 weeks.

I am 2 weeks out from my c-section tomorrow. A third of my scar is hard and bulged out further than the rest. Is this normal? My only guess is scar tissue? Also, how long did you bleed pp?

ETA: in the last 24 hours I've also started having pulling that feels like hair caught in tape almost. All tape had been removed. It's a quick, sharp pulling feeling that I'd say is more shocking than painful.
